Delightful brownies with rich chocolate flavor and fun spider web design, perfect for Halloween or any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp melted white chocolate (for spider web design)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your oven and pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the olive oil, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined and smooth.
  3. Incorporate eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully blended. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine dry ingredients: In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Combine mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined; a few flour streaks are fine.
  6. Add chocolate chips: Gently fold in the dark chocolate chips for an extra chocolate boost.
  7. Bake the brownies: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool the brownies: Let them cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
  9. Decorate: Melt the white chocolate and use a piping bag to create a spider web design on top of the cooled brownies.

Notes

Ensure to not overmix for fudgy brownies. Check for doneness at 25 minutes.
